Professional Security is looking for experienced and professional Head Door Supervisors to lead security teams across a portfolio of busy bars, pubs and late-night venues throughout Barnsley. The Role

As a Head Door Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading venue security teams, maintaining high operational standards and acting as the key point of contact between venue management and frontline security staff. You will set the standard for professionalism, customer service and safety while ensuring your team delivers an exceptional service every shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Door Supervisor teams during venue operations
  • Ensure high standards of professionalism, appearance and conduct are maintained at all times
  • Manage entry and exit points safely and effectively
  • Conduct ID checks, searches and admissions control in accordance with venue policies
  • Monitor venue capacity, customer behaviour and emerging risks
  • Support effective crowd management and customer engagement
  • Build positive working relationships with venue managers and staff
  • Respond confidently to incidents, conflict and challenging situations
  • Complete accurate incident reports and venue documentation
  • Ensure licensing conditions, venue policies and company procedures are followed
  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to Door Supervisors on shift

Qualifications

  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within hospitality security or door supervision
  • Previous experience leading or supervising security teams
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to transport
  • Ability to pass BS7858 screening and vetting
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and late-night shifts
  • Ability to provide a full 5-year employment and address history
