We're working with a well-established and expanding facilities management company to recruit an experienced/permanent Plumber to join their growing engineering team, covering Taunton and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled domestic plumbing and heating engineer seeking long-term stability with a reputable employer. In addition to regular overtime, you'll benefit from ongoing training and the opportunity to develop your expertise in renewable technologies, including Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP).
The Role
Working within occupied residential properties, you'll carry out a wide range of plumbing and heating tasks, delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Although you'll enjoy the independence of a field-based position, you'll also have the support of an experienced engineering team behind you. The role is based around Salisbury and the surrounding areas, with travel generally kept within a 1 hour 45 minute radius. Any travel beyond this will be paid.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out radiator replacements and heating system upgrades.
- Assist with domestic boiler installations.
- Replace hot water cylinders.
- Complete central heating wet works.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing faults relating to heating systems.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of workmanship and customer service.
- Accurately record completed work using a PDA/mobile device.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations and company procedures.
Essential
- Proven experience within domestic plumbing and heating.
- Experience carrying out radiator replacements and working on wet central heating systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage your own workload.
Desirable
- G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification.
- Experience assisting with domestic boiler installations.
- Previous experience working within domestic maintenance or social housing environments.
