We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a growing building services company based in Gravesend, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of pricing and tender submissions while working closely with the contracts team and company directors.

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive estimates across a range of mechanical building services projects.

The role:

  • Analyse drawings, specifications and employer requirements
  • Prepare accurate take-offs, Bills of Quantities and cost estimates
  • Source, analyse and negotiate supplier and subcontractor prices
  • Take ownership of pricing and tender submissions
  • Work closely with Contract Managers and Directors
  • Attend necessary meetings and support negotiations
  • Ensure a smooth project handover to operations
  • Manage multiple tenders and deadlines
  • Produce accurate and competitive submissions as a Mechanical Estimator

The successful Mechanical Estimator will need:

  • Previous mechanical estimation and pricing experience
  • Strong understanding of the building services industry
  • Experience interpreting drawings and specifications
  • Ability to prepare accurate take-offs and cost estimates
  • Excellent commercial awareness and numeracy
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and work under pressure

Package:

  • £37,000-£55,000 per annum
