The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-driven Solar PV Designer to join a fast-growing business at the forefront of energy efficiency and renewables. You’ll be responsible for reviewing site surveys and designing high-quality solar PV systems, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a seamless customer journey from design through to installation.

Working closely with our compliance and operations teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering technically sound and efficient solar solutions that meet industry standards and exceed customer expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reviewing site surveys with a keen eye for detail and producing accurate system designs using Easy PV and CAD software
  • Conducting virtual surveys with customers, gathering key information, photos, and identifying potential installation challenges
  • Carrying out structural assessments to ensure system suitability
  • Producing wiring diagrams for solar PV systems and battery storage solutions
  • Communicating with customers at various stages, providing a professional and informative experience throughout
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all designs align with compliance standards (OFGEM, BEIS, MCS)
  • Continuously developing your knowledge of industry regulations and best practice

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven technical understanding of solar PV systems or similar technologies
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Windows-based systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both internally and with customers

Desirable Experience
