Max Energy, part of the Effective Energy Group, are a leading supplier and installer of Insulation and Solar PV to the Newbuild Housing Sector supplying customers such as Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon, Bellway and Miller Homes. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and driving growth within the organisation. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of market trends. Proficiency in Salesforce software is highly desirable.
The Role
- Business Development Manager role selling into the new build housing and construction sector, focused on winning and growing work with house builders in a defined region, managing key client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial and buying teams at major and regional house builders in your area.
- Grow market share by developing existing accounts and securing new business, supported by market research and competitor awareness.
- Plan and manage your own diary, attend client and site meetings, prepare presentations and quotations, and keep all activity accurately recorded in Salesforce and other company systems.
- Work closely with internal teams (Estimating, Branch Managers, Planning) to deliver tailored solutions and meet project timelines and KPIs.
About You
- Proven business development or sales experience in new build housing/construction or a closely related industry.
- Strong sales, communication and relationship-building skills, able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Organised, analytical, proactive, confident, with good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Salesforce an advantage).
- Based in the North East, holding a full driving licence, and bringing a friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic approach.
