Overview
The Bid Manager leads the end-to-end bid process to secure Local Authority contracts for Warmer Homes and retrofit initiatives. They coordinate internal teams, manage timelines, ensure compliance, and shape competitive strategies.
The Role
- Manage the entire bid lifecycle: opportunity identification → qualification → strategy → submission.
- Lead kick-off meetings and develop bid plans, responsibilities and timelines.
- Work with operations, delivery partners, finance and technical teams to shape solutions.
- Oversee bid writing, reviews, risk assessments, and approval processes.
- Ensure all bids are compliant, costed accurately, and aligned with programme requirements.
- Monitor government funding updates and procurement cycles.
- Manage relationships with Local Authorities during clarification stages.
- Facilitate lessons learned sessions and improve bid processes.
About You
- Proven experience managing bids in public-sector environments.
- Strong understanding of retrofit, energy efficiency, or home-upgrade programmes.
