An exciting opportunity has opened within the Supply Chain operations organization for the position of Supply Officer based at Broughton. This is a perfect opportunity to work on a dynamic network between Broughton Plant, the Final Assembly Lines, and the Procurement world. The successful candidate will be able to take advantage of the latest hybrid working benefits, sharing time between home and office-based activities, and will drive supplier performance across the end-to-end supply chain in a fast-moving, digital environment. This role manages a portfolio of suppliers in support of all Airbus Wing Programmes. Airbus has a global supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the supplier portfolio daily using existing and digitalized business tools.
  • Anticipate risks and implement mitigation actions.
  • Control demand and forecasts.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers, team colleagues, and external suppliers.
  • Prioritize supply chain activities.
  • Challenge supplier performance when necessary.
  • Lead and drive supplier recoveries.
  • Define optimal ordering characteristics and strategies.
  • Specify and utilize process automation.
  • Use data management tools to inform supply chain decisions.
  • Manage order book and maintain MRP master data.
  • Coordinate supplier working parties.
  • Interact transnationally with suppliers remotely and/or on-site, proactively operating as a procurement community partner.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for supply chain queries from operations.
  • Own and optimize procured goods stock.
  • Support supply chain and logistics transformation projects.

Skills and Experience

  • Solid experience in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing engineering, or design engineering.
  • Experience with digital solutions/tools deployment.
  • Experience working transnationally.
  • Expertise in MRP and SAP in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good teamwork ethic.
  • Negotiation proficiency in English.
  • Project management and LEAN methodology experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all business levels.
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility.
