Job Description

Based within the Industries pillar, Tech Events at Informa Connect, we are looking for an experienced Events Marketer to join our events marketing team. The Associate Marketing Manager will support the development and execution of audience marketing programmes for events within the Industries portfolio. From working with lead marketers to managing the event set up and executing an integrated marketing campaign, the role enables to own, nurture and build their expertise in events marketing.

Job Summary

  • Plan and execute relevant integrated marketing campaigns and tactical plans to deliver key business objectives and audience goals, with a focus on growth, while understanding the target audience and their behaviours.
  • Work closely with central teams and marketing leads to execute event strategy and assist in setting up the event on various CRM systems, platforms and portals.
  • Understanding of the audience and data segments to connect our brands with key messaging to target audiences and clients.
  • Manage the event websites ensuring the content is up to date and using best practices for SEO and UX/UI.
  • Use a mix of marketing channels to deliver on objectives and targets of the event.
  • Analysis and insights reporting from marketing metrics to track ROI.
  • Provide detailed weekly reporting for stakeholders on event registrations and campaign performance.
  • Adopt a test and learn approach to understand which channels are performing and optimising marketing plans.
  • Source and manage media partners and associations to ensure they are maximizing our events marketing to their audiences.
  • Build good working relationships with key stakeholders: Client Marketing, Sales, Production, Operations, Content, Telesales, Eloqua and Data and VIP teams.
  • Work with internal and external digital agencies to launch and optimise PPC and SEM campaigns.
  • Develop a good understanding of all key systems, ensure best practices, continuous improvements, and driving efficiencies.
  • Defines new and innovative ways to improve campaign, processes and ways of working and champions best practice and innovations.
  • Maximises usage and adherence to Informa systems and processes, adopting a best practice and facilitating developments in line with internal and external requirements.
  • Support the Senior Marketing Manager to build the overall events strategy and a high performance team.

Qualifications Key Skills

  • Prior B2B Marketing events campaign experience, forming and executing a strategy and tactical plans that raises awareness, generates interest, engagement and solicits action.
  • Prior audience marketing experience and ability to understand the target audiences, brand propositions and key messages.
  • Experience with using marketing automation and CRM platforms. Eloqua desirable.
  • Experience in working with data platforms and segmentation strategies.
  • Content Marketing experience.
  • Digital marketing experience - SEO, Google Analytics and paid search.
  • Experience with CMS platforms and website development.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player that can work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
  • Analytical & problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to timescales.
  • Proven ability to use initiative when required and go 'above and beyond' in order to deliver event attendee targets.
  • Self-starter approach to work, with strong attention to detail.
  • Can-do attitude to deliver results.
