The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

We are recruiting for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to join our expanding team based at our site in Barton-Upon-Humber. This role consists solely of afternoon shifts: four 10-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday, from 15:00 to 01:30.

Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Fault finding, PLC troubleshooting, and maintaining, repairing conveyor systems, equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time.
  • Following up on any faults picked up on PPMs.
  • Taking ownership of the working area; monitoring key maintenance KPI's such as breakdowns and having a strong service-department mindset towards operations.
  • Keeping and maintaining all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  • Proactively working towards the continued success and support of the business with a can-do attitude.
  • Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, as outlined in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering (Required).
  • 18th Edition with valid IEE regulations (Desirable).
  • Welding/Fabricating experience (Desirable).
  • Understanding of PLC systems (Desirable).
  • An ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge.
  • Problem solving and team working skills.
  • Ability to think on your own initiative.
