We are looking for a motivated and confident Junior Business Development Executive to support EFAB's growth across engineering and construction sectors. This role is ideal for someone ambitious, commercially aware, and eager to develop their career in business development. You will receive guidance and support from the Head of Business Development while taking ownership of key activities that help attract new clients and strengthen existing relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth & Market Awareness
- Research market trends and help identify new opportunities.
- Support the development of strategies to attract new business.
- Assist in building the company's presence in target markets.
- Contribute to identifying potential partnerships and growth opportunities.
- Client Engagement
- Build positive relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
- Gain a good understanding of client needs and help shape suitable solutions.
- Attend client meetings and contribute confidently to presentations.
- Support the management of key accounts to ensure repeat business.
- Assist with general contract discussions and coordination.
- Opportunities, Bids & Reporting
- Identify key opportunities and develop to receipt of formal tender.
- Help prepare bid and proposal submissions, including PQQs and tender documentation.
- Maintain accurate sales information and pipelines using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
- Prepare and update regular reports for senior management.
- Monitor performance and suggest improvements where appropriate.
- Commercial & Risk Awareness
- Recognise potential commercial risks and escalate where needed.
- Work within agreed budgets and timelines.
- Represent EFAB professionally at meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Essential
- Some experience in business development or a customer-facing commercial role (engineering or construction experience advantageous).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Confident, tenacious, and comfortable engaging with clients.
- Commercially aware with good analytical abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
