We are seeking a proactive and forward-thinking Order Fulfilment Manager / Sales Order Process Manager to lead and optimise the sales order function within a busy manufacturing environment. This role oversees all customer enquiries and quotations received directly through CYFERD, email, or other channels and ensures a seamless process from enquiry through to delivery. You will drive improvements across systems, processes, and team performance, using AI and modern techniques to create a more efficient, customer-focused operation. Experience within the windows or cladding sector would be advantageous, though not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full sales order process, from customer enquiry and quotation preparation through to order placement, production planning, and delivery.
  • Manage, review, and prioritise all incoming enquiries and quotations, including those received directly through CYFERD and via email.
  • Ensure all quotations are prepared accurately, competitively, and in line with business standards.
  • Manage a small team, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, consistently, and on time.
  • Lead team development through training, coaching, performance reviews, and effective communication.
  • Ensure the team operates to the highest standards and delivers exceptional customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, production, and other internal departments.
  • Support warranty and remedial requests, ensuring issues are handled quickly and effectively.
  • Promote excellent communication across the full order fulfilment cycle.
  • Implement improvements across the department using AI tools, automation, and modern workflow techniques to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, downtime, and operational costs.
  • Support and enhance the use of ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and related digital tools.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support production and supply chain activities.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience managing the sales order or order fulfilment process within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Competent with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Resilient, organised, and able to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the windows or cladding industry is desirable but not essential.
