We are looking to recruit experienced Mechanical Engineers to join our growing team at our manufacturing facility in Howden. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

You will work either on a rotating shift pattern covering mornings and afternoons.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of machinery and equipment.
* Respond promptly and professionally to equipment breakdowns to minimise disruption to production.
* Undertake fault finding, including working with PLCs, and carry out repairs using your mechanical engineering skills.
* Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical and process issues.
* Identify and implement improvements in safety, processes, and technology.
* Accurately record all maintenance activities using the CMMS (Shire System).
* Maintain a proactive and positive approach to supporting the success of the wider business.
As part of your duties, you must ensure that you have read, understood, and comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures, as outlined in our Integrated Management System (IMS).
Shift Pattern β Rotating Weekly
* 6.00am β 2.30pm / Monday to Friday (Week 1)
* 10.00am β 6.30pm / Monday to Friday (Week 2)
About You
Essential:
* A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure.
* Good verbal and written communication skills. xiskglj
* A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
Desirable:
* Experience working in the FMCG or woodworking manufacturing sector
