We are recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our expanding team based in Howden. The successful candidate will work the afternoon shifts, Monday to Friday, 10:00-18:30 with the potential to transition to 14:30-23:00. The salary for the position is £46,500 plus up to £1,000 Quarterly Bonus + £1250 Shift Allowance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with site Engineering Manager to effectively plan workload and job allocation, ensuring tasks are completed in order of priority.
- Work with departmental managers to ensure repair or planned work to machinery is carried out with minimal disruption to operations.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure the sufficient and relevant materials required for repairs and regeneration projects are purchased.
- Ensure that repairs and building projects are completed to a high standard, in line with all relevant regulations.
- Act as a key liaison between Engineering Manager and Maintenance team, ensuring any information and business changes are shared throughout the team.
- Monitor performance and output and highlight any areas of concern to management.
In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood and adhere to policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.
About You
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- NQV Level 3 Electrical or equivalent (required)
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (desirable)
- Proven track record of delivering results
- 18th Edition with valid IEE regulations are desirable
- Self-motivated with strong prioritisation skills
- Relevant experience in Engineering management, ideally in the woodworking industry
- Understanding of PLC systems
- Experience of planning PPM's and responding to reactive maintenance
- Excellent communication skills
