We are looking to recruit experienced Electrical Engineers to join our growing team at our manufacturing facility in Howden. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will work either on a rotating shift pattern covering mornings and afternoons.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of machinery and equipment.
- Respond promptly and professionally to equipment breakdowns to minimise disruption to production.
- Undertake fault finding, including working with PLCs, and carry out repairs using a combination of mechanical and electrical engineering skills.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify and resolve technical and process issues.
- Identify and implement improvements in safety, processes, and technology.
- Accurately record all maintenance activities using the CMMS (Shire System).
- Maintain a proactive and positive approach to supporting the success of the wider business.
As part of your duties, you must ensure that you have read, understood, and comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures, as outlined in our Integrated Management System (IMS).
Shift Pattern - Rotating Weekly
- 6.00am - 2.30pm / Monday to Friday (Week 1)
- 10.00am- 6.30pm / Monday to Friday (Week 2)
About You
Essential:
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- 18th Edition qualification (current IEE Wiring Regulations).
- Experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Competent in diagnosing faults and working with PLC systems.
- Ability to remain calm and work efficiently under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Experience working in the FMCG or woodworking manufacturing sector.
