The Electrical Lead is responsible for the ongoing development and enhancement of EFAB\’s electrical programme. This includes the continuous review and refinement of processes, procedures, and standards to ensure they remain robust, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices.
This role requires a proactive leader who can identify opportunities for improvement, implement innovative solutions, and foster a culture of operational excellence within the Electrical Team. By driving continuous improvement, the Electrical Lead strengthens EFAB\’s technical capabilities and supports the delivery of high-quality, compliant electrical services across all projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
Recruit, train, and develop a high‐performing Electrical Engineering Construction Team.
Provide daily leadership, supervision, and mentoring to electricians and apprentices.
Foster a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and proactive communication.
Planning & Execution
Develop detailed work plans, schedules, and resource allocations for electrical activities.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integration of electrical systems.
Monitor progress, manage risks, and adjust plans to meet project milestones.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards.
Lead problem‐solving efforts to address site or technical challenges.
Estimating & Budgeting
Prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical works, materials, and labour.
Support tender and bid submissions with technical and commercial input.
Track actual costs versus estimates and report on variances.
Technical Oversight
Ensure all installations comply with relevant electrical codes and client specifications.
Review and approve electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
Provide expert technical support for design, installation, and commissioning.
Oversee testing, inspection, and handover of electrical systems.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Enforce adherence to EFAB\’s safety policies and statutory regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.
Drive a proactive safety culture within the team.
Business Development & Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement opportunities to improve electrical processes and efficiency.
Support business development with technical input for proposals and presentations.
Contribute to the strategic growth and innovation of EFAB\’s electrical offering.
Benchmark practices against industry standards and emerging technologies.
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams effectively.
Communicate project progress, risks, and issues clearly.
Represent the electrical discipline in project and design meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering (Chartered status desirable).
Proven leadership experience managing electrical construction or engineering teams.
