EFAB Resourcing are seeking for an experienced Estimator who will prepare accurate quotations, evaluate technical documents, and collaborate closely with the in-house teams to ensure pricing reflects scope, materials, labour, standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed tenders, quotations and cost estimates for heavy fabrication, platework, industrial chimneys, ductwork and modular structures.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and site surveys.
- Liaise with internal departments to validate costing assumptions.
- Source material and subcontractor pricing.
- Present clear estimates including risks and assumptions.
- Maintain accurate estimating records.
Skills & Experience Required
- Knowledge of heavy fabrication, platework, industrial chimneys, ductwork and large modular structures.
- Familiarity with welding processes (MIG, TIG, MMA, SAW) and BS EN ISO 3834-2.
- Experience working to BS EN 1090 Execution Class 4.
- Understanding of industrial paint and coating systems.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience in secondary steelwork and mezzanine structures.
- Proficiency with estimating software/ERP systems.
