Wren are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.30pm
Starting Salary £54,000 plus £1,500 quarterly bonus
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the engineering and maintenance team.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
- Minimise downtime by working closely with production and operational teams.
- Manage engineering projects, repairs, shutdowns, and site improvements.
- Control departmental budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across plant, equipment, and facilities.
About You
- Proven Engineering Manager or Maintenance Manager experience within manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and automated systems.
- Knowledge of PPM scheduling and maintenance planning.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
- HNC/HND qualification in an Engineering discipline.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office.
