π Energy Manager π Peterborough (Primarily Remote with occasional travel to London, York and other Network Rail locations) β³ 6-Month Contract π· Β£390/day Umbrella π Inside IR35 We are currently supportin g Network Ra il in the search fo r 2 experienced Energy Manage rs to join a key sustainability and energy management programme.
This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in driving energy efficiency, sustainability performance, and compliance across a major national infrastructure organisatio n.
Key Responsibilities Deliver and continuously improve Energy Management Plans.
Monitor, analyse and report on energy consumption and performance trends.
Implement and maintain Energy Management Systems aligned to BS EN ISO 50001:2011 .
Conduct energy audits and identify energy-saving opportunities.
Develop business cases for energy efficiency initiatives and investments.
Coordinate energy reduction programmes and projects.
Design and deliver energy management training workshops and guidance material.
Monitor changes in energy legislation and industry best practice.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
Support wider sustainability and environmental objectives across the business.
Essential Experience Proven experience implementing and maintaining Energy Management Systems to BS EN ISO 50001:2011 .
Strong background in energy management with demonstrable results.
Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP/CMPV) qualification.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience designing and delivering training programmes.
Strong influencing and relationship-building capabilities.
Previous project management experience.
Desirable Level 3 Recognised Energy Manager qualification (or equivalent).
Evidence of continuing professional development.
Membership or practitioner status with organisations such as: AEE (Association of Energy Engineers) AEM (Association of Energy Managers) EMA Ideal Background We're particularly interested in candidates who have worked within: Infrastructure Transport and Rail Utilities Facilities and Estates Public Sector Large Complex Operational Environments
