EF Education First invites dedicated teachers to lead a dynamic summer school in Torquay, June–August 2026. The role is full‑time, six days a week, on a fixed‑term contract with a two‑week minimum commitment.

EF’s Summer School offers immersive English lessons to international youth aged 13‑17 in a supportive, collaborative environment. Teachers deliver communicative, lesson‑planned instruction and manage administrative tasks, contributing to a positive academic team.

Position Details
  • Full‑time, six days a week
  • Fixed‑term contract June–August 2026 (minimum two‑week commitment)
Responsibilities
  • Inspire international students to improve their English in fun, communicative lessons
  • Plan, prepare and deliver effective lessons to diverse groups of learners
  • Track student attendance, assess progress and provide regular feedback
  • Facilitate testing and maintain academic records
  • Participate in teacher briefings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative academic team environment
  • Act as an ambassador for EF
Requirements
  • Available between June and August 2026
  • TEFL or CELTA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sensitive to the needs of international students
  • Confident in teaching young learners (13‑17)
  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
  • Right to work in the UK at commencement of employment
  • C2 level of English
