EF (Education First) Isle of Wight Summer School is seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to join our Activities & Events Team as Activity Leaders for summer 2026. Positions are full‑time, 6 days a week, and available between June and August 2026, with a minimum one‑month commitment. Accommodation and full board are provided if necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead groups of international students on activities, events, ceremonies, and day trips.
  • Create a lively atmosphere throughout the site and during excursions while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Help students break cultural barriers and build friendships by facilitating activities that encourage them to speak English and share their cultures.
  • Take responsibility for the health, safety, and well‑being of all students, completing and adhering to risk assessments and emergency procedures in line with EF policy.
  • Liaise with co‑leaders and the Activities and Events Manager to discuss improvement of future activities, events, ceremonies and day trips.
  • Ensure the EF behaviour code is always followed by all students and inform management immediately if there are any issues or problems.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, energetic, and positive with a sociable and outgoing personality.
  • Confident in leading and managing groups of students.
  • Organised, thorough, and able to use initiative and work unsupervised.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure.
  • Appreciation of cultural differences and sensitivity to the needs of international students.
  • Flexible approach to work and able to accommodate required working hours.
  • Trained First Aider (preferred but not essential; training will be provided).
  • Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential).
  • All offers subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references.
  • Right to work in the UK on commencement of employment.
