Position Details
- Full-time, 5 days per week
- Fixed-term hourly contract with ASAP start - August 14th 2026
- Potential for extension/permanent employment
Responsibilities
- Processing and maintaining homestay accommodation records using EF's accommodation database
- Assigning accommodation to students and keeping accurate rooming-allocation records
- Closing complaints promptly and escalating to Homestay Manager when appropriate
- Preparing and delivering verbal and written information (phone, text, e‑mail) to prospective and current hosts, keeping it up to date
- Reporting to Homestay Manager to ensure sufficient homestay beds for peak season and assisting with recruitment of new hosts
- Providing accurate student details each week for arrivals and departures
- Providing a high-level customer service to students and hosts
- Supporting students and host families with move‑in and transfer requests when necessary
- Striving to improve the quality of homestay provision
- Sharing emergency duty of the Summer School phone on a rota basis during peak season
Requirements
- Previous experience in telesales and/or face-to-face customer service
- Highly organised with a high level of attention to detail
- Capable of taking initiative
- Highly motivated, energetic, positive
- Friendly and approachable manner
- Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and external clients
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and diffuse potentially difficult situations
- Sensitivity to the needs of international students living away from home
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel and CRMs (desirable)
- Complete fluency in English
- All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
- Legally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
