EF Education First is looking for a motivated, energetic, and organised individual to join our summer team in Bournemouth as a Summer Welfare Lead. This fixed‑term role runs June – August 2026, full‑time, 6 days a week, with accommodation and full board provided at no cost.

Position Summary

As the Welfare Lead you will be the face of EF for students and staff, responsible for the overall welfare provision of the summer school. You will work closely with all departments, maintain student welfare records, and support the day‑to‑day running of the camp.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with hospital and medical appointments for students.
  • Coordinate food provisions for ill students and manage homesickness support.
  • Keep track of welfare cases using an online reporting system, ensuring cases are opened, followed up, and closed.
  • Update school records weekly on students with medical or learning needs.
  • Prepare and run arrivals days, relay activity information, and deliver briefings to new staff.
  • Monitor student attendance and assess any discipline issues, escalating concerns to the manager.
  • Respond to daily student and staff queries, enhancing customer service and problem‑solving skills.
  • Share emergency duty on a rota basis.

Qualifications

  • Team player with leadership experience and strong attention to detail.
  • Previous customer service experience, ideally working with young people, with strong emotional intelligence.
  • Passionate about customer service and quality provision.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high‑paced environment.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Positive ‘going above and beyond’ mindset.
  • Eligible for a clear enhanced DBS check and two references.
  • Right to work in the UK at contract commencement.
  • Live‑in position with residential requirements attached.
