About the Role
EF Bournemouth Summer School is a lively summer school with international language students from around the world. As Residence Manager you will lead the onsite residence staff, guide student groups, manage room allocation, supervise staff and coordinate with hotel/residence owners to ensure a smooth and memorable experience.
Responsibilities
- Work with the summer management team to deliver an exceptional experience to students.
- Live‑in position with overall responsibility for the residence and its students/staff.
- Support a team of international leaders to provide a home‑away‑from‑home experience.
- Take care of room allocation, supervise leaders and coordinate with hotel staff.
- Liaise with residence owners and staff regarding cleaning, theme events and safety.
- Share emergency duty on a rota basis.
Requirements
- Flexible approach to work hours.
- Experience in managing or leading a team (desirable).
- Highly motivated, energetic, positive.
- Customer‑service orientated, friendly & approachable manner.
- Remain calm under pressure and diffuse difficult situations.
- Sensitive to needs of international students living away from home.
- Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues and external clients.
- Attention to detail, organised & thorough.
All offers subject to clear enhanced DBS check and two references. Right to work in the UK. This is a live‑in position; accommodation and full board provided at no extra cost with residential requirements attached.
