Our global SaaS client is now seeking an experienced Accountant to join their Finance team to drive business growth and profitability through strategic, financial and operational leadership. Their team is comprised of finance, accounting, supply chain, corporate strategy & development and tax professionals that support and enhance operating efficiencies. This is a 3-month Contract offering an award-winning work environment with hybrid working 3 days in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Full oversight of entity month end close activities and reporting.
- Works closely & in partnership with International US GAAP accounting shared services centre as well as FITG (Financial Integrity, Transformation & Governance) to ensure timely and accurate entity close.
- Reviews month end close activities of other team members as required.
- Completes monthly P&L and balance sheet analytical review with commentary, trend analysis on revenue & close review with FP&A & other key stakeholders.
- Researches and prepares technical accounting position papers on local accounting issues (US GAAP & Local GAAP) as well as impacts to entity of new/changes to accounting standards.
- Prepares statutory bridge reconciliation from US GAAP to local GAAP on secondary ledger.
- Prepares annual statutory financial statements with input from local accounting & tax advisors as required and presents results to CAO.
- Owns transfer pricing process for entity, works with Corporate Tax to ensure appropriate agreements in place, highlights & assesses local business changes that may impact current structure & ensuring timely calculation and settlement.
- Drives completion & filings of Indirect Tax/VAT Returns, liaising with external advisors and internal teams where necessary.
- Completes statutory and taxation checklist to support filing of corporate and statutory returns.
- Full ownership of all other statutory compliance filings for entity.
- Legal Entity structuring – assists with creation, liquidation & dissolution of legal entities as required to maintain optimal group structure.
- Supports other compliance requirements of entity as required (FCA, AML).
- Forms strong working relationships with other business partners including; GBS FP&A, FITG, Treasury, Legal, FEBS, Local GTM teams, Strategic Partnerships.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years proven relevant experience is required.
- Qualified accountant; CA/ACA/CPA or equivalent.
- Strong technical (US GAAP or IFRS, EMEA local GAAP) and financial accounting expertise.
- Strong technical accounting skills; ability to research and understand technical details, but also interpret and present in lay terms to non-technical finance and other business partner.
- Analytical thinker who can identify and implement effective processes improvements.
- Large accounting software package expertise (Oracle financials preferred).
