The Role
We are looking for a passionate sales-driven person, who can build rapport quickly and help us to recruit good quality families for our international students. This could be a fixed term role, full or part time and can be combined with studying or working elsewhere.
Responsibilities
- The provision of homestay and residential accommodation.
- Recruit suitable families for the homestay program ensuring compliance with the International Code of care and any accreditation regulations.
- Work with other Host Family team members to ensure all leads are followed up and visits are completed in a timely manner.
- Meet agreed Call, Visit, and Bed Targets.
- Ensure all interviews, inspections and documentation are completed and maintained for each family.
- Maintain accurate records for each family and ensure all families have been provided with the necessary handbook information.
- Match notes on families as best as possible and process the placements on the database as soon as possible to stop any cancellation.
- Be conscious of cultural and linguistic difficulties and organize language interpretation where necessary.
- Supply the School Director and Accommodation Manager with weekly Host family Recruitment updates.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK.
- Driving licence essential, access to car desirable (fuel reimbursed).
- Highly motivated, energetic, positive.
- Excellent telephone skills.
- Target-driven with sales experience.
- A flexible approach to work & hours of work undertaken is essential.
- Friendly & approachable manner, not afraid to speak to strangers and cold-call.
- Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations.
- Sensitive to needs of international students living away from home.
- Excellent communicator with external clients such as host families, students and colleagues.
- Attention to detail, organised & thorough.
