EF (Education First) International Language Campus Oxford is looking for part-time teachers, teaching Maths at AS/A-Level (KS3/KS4) for our University Preparation (UP) Programme. 6 h 40 min up to 20h of class time per week (depending on terms).
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Maths classes to our UP students.
- If qualifications/previous experience allow, teach other specialist modules (Physics and/or Accounting).
- Plan and prepare lessons using EF’s curriculum and blended learning approach.
- Track student attendance, assess progress, and provide regular feedback.
- Facilitate testing and maintain academic records.
- Participate in teacher briefings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative academic team environment.
- Support students in achieving their learning goals through tutorials and guidance.
The ideal teacher
- Hold a BA in the relevant subject to teach Maths.
- Teach Physics/Accounting where appropriate.
- Teaching or tutoring experience in any setting.
- TEFL/CELTA qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Passionate, professional, dynamic, enthusiastic and flexible.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and positive, with a keen sense of initiative, who can take responsibility when necessary.
- Keen interest in up-to-date teaching methodology and developments, with a strong desire to develop teaching skills and knowledge.
- Able to encourage a positive and sharing attitude to both classroom and professional issues.
- Sensitive to students’ academic & welfare needs.
- Right to work in the UK at commencement of employment.
- Clean background check and two references.
