EF on the Isle of Wight Summer School is seeking dedicated and outgoing teachers to join our team for Summer 2026. Fixed-term contract between June – August 2026 (minimum two-week commitment). Live in position with accommodation and full board available.

Responsibilities
  • Inspire international students to improve their English in fun, communicative lessons
  • Plan, prepare and deliver effective lessons to diverse groups of learners
  • Track student attendance, assess progress and provide regular feedback
  • Facilitate testing and maintain academic records
  • Participate in teacher briefings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative academic team environment
  • Act as an ambassador for EF
Requirements
  • Available between June–August 2026
  • TEFL or CELTA qualification preferred (or equivalent); EF will consider sponsoring the course for suitable candidates
  • Sensitive to the needs of international students
  • Demonstrates a high level of customer service
  • Has strong administrative and organisational skills
  • All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
  • Right to work in the UK at commencement of employment
  • C2 level of English
