EF Torquay Summer School is seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to join our Activities & Events Team as Activity Leaders for summer 2025. In this role, you will organize and lead activities, events, and excursions, creating an unforgettable experience for international students. Every day is different, from city trips to themed parties and interactive games. This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills in a fun and multicultural environment.

Position Details:

  • Monday – Friday + Saturday or Sunday
  • Full-time
  • Fixed-term contract from June – August 2025 (minimum two-week commitment)

Responsibilities

  • Leads groups of international students on a variety of activities, events, ceremonies, and day trips
  • Creates a lively atmosphere during excursions, delivering excellent customer service
  • Takes responsibility for health, safety, and well-being of all students, including completing and adhering to risk assessments and emergency procedures in line with EF policy
  • Liaises with co-leaders and the Activities and Events Manager to improve future activities, events, ceremonies, and day trips
  • Ensures the EF behaviour code is always followed by all students and reports issues immediately

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, energetic, and positive with a sociable and outgoing personality
  • Confident in leading and managing groups of students
  • Highly organized, thorough, able to use initiative, and work independently
  • Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively
  • Appreciation of cultural differences and sensitivity to international students\’ needs
  • A flexible approach to work and hours
  • Trained First Aider (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience with 13-18 year olds (preferred but not essential)
  • All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
  • Right to work in the UK from the start of employment
