EF Cambridge is seeking a proactive and tech‑savvy individual to join our facilities team as

Facilities & IT Coordinator , working at our large international campus in Hills Road.

  • Position Details
  • Full‑time – Monday to Friday
  • August/September start
  • Permanent contract

The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on problem solver who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment, ensuring our facilities and technology run smoothly for students and staff alike.

Your Role

  • Provide overall care and upkeep of the EF School building.
  • Maintain school equipment.
  • Keep up to date with compliance matters and inform school staff and management about any updates.
  • Ensure health & safety and accreditation compliance.
  • Keep the school ledger with weekly, quarterly and yearly tasks up to date and accurate.
  • Maintain security of the building to ensure compliance.
  • Organise and coordinate school supplies, stock inventory and IT inventory.
  • Liaise with finance regarding invoices and supplier payments.
  • Work with the School Director to oversee the school budget for building upkeep, including cleaning and fixtures and fittings.
  • Provide necessary information and requests from staff for IT concerns.
  • Ensure supplier communication is recorded, updated routinely and shared.
  • Work closely with the Accommodation Manager to oversee residence facilities, compliance, safety and IT in each building.
  • Attend in‑house meetings and EF central meetings regularly and ensure effective communication of policies through staff meetings.
  • Work toward whole school goals.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.
  • Takes part in an emergency on‑call phone rota with other school staff.
  • Is a trained Fire Warden with assigned duties in the fire evacuation procedure.
  • Assist with other duties as requested by the School Director.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willing to undertake Health and Safety, OSH and First Aid in the workplace training.
  • Keen interest in IT, technology and willingness to learn.
  • Experience working with external suppliers, negotiation skills an plus.
  • Creative approach to problem solving.
  • A positive attitude, a strong sense of ownership and the drive to succeed.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Flexible approach to work & hours of work undertaken is essential.
  • All responsibilities will be undertaken in accordance with EF policy and legal frameworks as well as ISI and British Council criteria.
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK on commencement of employment.
  • Clean DBS check and two references required.
