EF Bournemouth Summer School is seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to join our Activities & Events Team as Activity Leaders for summer 2026. In this role, you will organize and lead activities, events and excursions, creating an unforgettable experience for international students.

  • Position Details:
  • Full-time
  • 6 days a week
  • Fixed-term contract between June – August 2026 (minimum two-week commitment)
  • Accommodation and full board provided if necessary

Every day is different – from city trips to themed parties and interactive games. You’ll play a key part in helping students feel welcome, confident and connected, while also developing your own leadership and communication skills in a fun and multicultural environment.   • Responsibilities:
  • Leads groups of international students on a variety of activities, events, ceremonies and day trips
  • Creates a lively atmosphere throughout the site and during excursions, all while delivering excellent customer service
  • Help students break cultural barriers and build friendships by facilitating activities that get them speaking English, sharing their cultures and learning from one another
  • Takes responsibility for health, safety and well-being of all students, including completing and adhering to risk assessments and emergency situations in line with EF policy and procedures
  • Liaises with co-leaders and the Activities and Events Manager to discuss how to improve future activities, events, ceremonies and day trips
  • Ensures the EF behaviour code is always followed by all students and informs the management immediately if there are any issues or problems
  • Requirements:
  • Highly motivated, energetic and positive with a sociable and outgoing personality
  • Confident in leading and managing groups of students
  • Highly organised and thorough, able to use initiative and work unsupervised
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure
  • Customer service mindset
  • Appreciation of cultural differences and sensitive to the needs of international students
  • A flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential
  • Is a trained First Aider (preferable but not essential)
  • Experience with 13-17 year olds (preferable but not essential)
  • All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
  • Right to work in the UK on commencement of employment
