We are looking for a manager who will work with the current responsible and grow into full leadership of the sales market within the year.

In this position you will be responsible for a team and lead our mission to drive growth in Ticino. Your responsibilities will include sales strategic development, coordination of day-to-day sales, marketing activities, and management of staff.

You will lead an entrepreneurial and international business and directly influence its development and growth in the education/study abroad market in Ticino. In this highly visible role, you will assume the position of the face of a well-known and highly visible brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, execute, and support your team to meet short and long-term sales goals in the Swiss Italian market.
  • Understand and beat previous year’s sales accomplishments.
  • Have knowledge of current sales trends in your markets, and always be thinking 5 steps ahead.
  • Overall responsibility for coordinating day-to-day sales activities.
  • Analysis of your teams, sales situation, the current market, and our competitors.
  • To develop sales and marketing strategies and to then implement and evaluate tactics.
  • To contribute to the development of the dedicated product under your responsibility.

Operations

  • Responsibility for the control and monitoring of budgets as well as ensuring effective expense planning and cost controls.
  • To build up new links and maintain existing relations with schools and universities.
  • Managing time for local administrative work like invoicing, visa preparation, marketing material distributions, and so on.
  • To assist in creating marketing material and the production of it.

Staff management

  • To motivate sales teams, establishing individual and team goals and objectives.
  • Responsibility for performance management of sales coordinators, including performance reviews and development plans.
  • Identify staffing needs and execute successful recruitment campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree from a reputable University in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years work experience.
  • A highly energetic and ambitious self-starter.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Tested leadership ability.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial instincts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fully fluent in Italian and professional in written and verbal English.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A graduate degree qualification or equivalent, preferably in sales, marketing, business, administration, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of team leadership experience.
  • Experience living abroad.
  • Master of Business Administration, strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a service-oriented industry.
