About us

EEVT is an Ofsted-registered training provider delivering apprenticeships, adult skills and skills bootcamps across Health & Social Care, Digital and Business. We work with employers, local authorities and funding partners to get people into work and help them progress once they're there. We're a growing group with a genuine focus on quality — and on the people who deliver it.

The role

We're looking for a Tutor/Assessor to deliver our Level 1 and Level 2 Children and Young People qualifications to learners across our adult skills and youth provision. You'll take groups from enrolment through to certification — planning and delivering engaging sessions, assessing evidence, and making sure every learner gets the support they need to achieve. Many of our learners are returning to education after a break, or are working towards their first qualification, so patience, warmth and high expectations matter in equal measure.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering Level 1 and Level 2 Children and Young People qualifications (classroom, blended and remote delivery)
  • Carrying out initial and diagnostic assessment, and using the results to shape individual learning plans
  • Assessing learner work against awarding organisation criteria and maintaining accurate, timely records on our e-portfolio system
  • Embedding English, maths and digital skills naturally into your sessions
  • Embedding safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and EDI throughout the learner journey
  • Tracking progress, managing attendance and retention, and intervening early where learners are at risk of falling behind
  • Providing effective information, advice and guidance on progression into work or further study
  • Supporting internal quality assurance, standardisation and external quality assurance visits
  • Contributing to self-assessment, quality improvement and Ofsted readiness

What we're looking for

Essential

  • Occupational competence in early years, childcare or a related children and young people's setting (Level 3 or above)
  • Teaching qualification (Level 3 AET, Level 4 CET or Level 5 DET) — or a genuine commitment to achieve one within an agreed timeframe
  • Level 2 English and maths (or equivalent)
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding and Prevent in an education setting
  • Confident using digital platforms for delivery, tracking and portfolio management
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to undergo one

Desirable

  • Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1 or equivalent)
  • IQA qualification (IQA, V1 or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering to adult learners, 16–18 learners or young people at risk of NEET
  • Experience working within a funded provision environment (Adult Skills Fund, DWP or local authority contracts)

We are an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments at any stage of the process.
