Your Role as Business Development Manager â Midlands
Your Purpose:
- To grow sales and market share across the Midlands region, with a focus on Oprema's strategic brands.
- To build and maintain trusted, longâterm relationships with customers and suppliers.
- To represent Oprema's values in every interaction, both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account manage existing customers and drive increased spend.
- Generate new business through outreach, in collaboration with your Internal Sales/BDE.
- Reâengage lapsed accounts and uncover new opportunities.
- Carry out a minimum of 8 customer visits per weekâeither independently or alongside strategic suppliers.
- Attend trade shows and quarterly sales meetings as a key regional representative.
- Keep close contact with our key Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to align on customer strategy.
- Collaborate with your internal support team on action planning, reporting, and customer insights.
- Maintain accurate, upâtoâdate records in the CRM system.
- Contribute to a team culture built on trust, performance, and integrity.
What You'll Bring
Essential Experience:
- Proven field sales experience in the Electronic security distribution industry, or a similar technical sales environment.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong presentation abilities and a confident customerâfacing approach.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of profitâdriven sales.
- IT literate and comfortable working with CRM and reporting tools.
- Numerate, detailâoriented, and highly organised.
Desirable:
- Sales qualifications or formal sales training.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics and/or Salesforce.
