Overview
Senior Assurance Engineer (Mechanical) at EET Fuels – role focused on technical assurance for a Refinery Production Unit, ensuring reliability and efficiency of mechanical assets.
Responsibilities
- Provide mechanical engineering support to optimize plant availability, performance, reliability, and cost.
- Lead mechanical assurance activities across all static and rotating equipment, ensuring integrity and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Author MOC management, risk assessments, and inspection event support; serve as production unit signatory.
- Support major and minor site turnarounds, scope definition, and optimisation.
- Contribute to CAPEX planning, performance analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance reviews.
- Deliver engineering assurance against statutory and non-statutory inspection events.
Technical Accountabilities
- Design and develop management of change documents; act as PU nominated signatory.
- Authorize operational risk assessments and inspection deferrals on behalf of PU manager.
- Plan, prepare, and execute major and minor site turnarounds.
- Ensure MOC, QA, and audit alignment with site standards.
- Provide mechanical support to Projects Department and manage non-standard projects.
- Track CAPEX and maintain PU records and MOC KPIs.
About You
- Chartered engineer or nominated engineer / MOC signatory.
- Experienced in downstream oil and gas static and rotating process equipment, safety procedures, and systems.
- Knowledge of API, ASME, BS standards and mechanical assurance work.
- Proven risk assessment and mitigation experience.
- Strong project management, budget management, and ability to prioritize work.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, problem-solving, and proactive skills.
