The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Support Executive role. The primary purpose of the position is to provide first‑line support within a fast-paced, high-volume, low-margin business, supporting the end-to-end sales, order fulfilment, and billing lifecycle. The role involves regular interaction with the Sales team, wider internal stakeholders, and external partners, acting as a key day‑to‑day point of contact for our customers.
You will manage a broad range of transactional enquiries, resolving issues efficiently and accurately with a strong focus on customer service and continuous improvement. By ensuring queries and transactions are handled effectively, you will help support the smooth flow of business operations through to the timely and accurate receipt of payments.
Primary Accountabilities
- Liaise with Sales to translate new business deals accurately and efficiently into the appropriate IT systems, including SAP and TAS.
- Support the progression of end‑to‑end sales and billing transactional activities, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing to enable prompt cash collection.
- Take ownership of incoming enquiries via phone and email across the full sales and customer transaction lifecycle, including pricing, data, orders, delivery, billing, credit, and debt, maintaining a strong customer focus and driving continuous improvement.
- Support the creation, maintenance, and reporting of departmental KPI data.
- Adhere to best practice standards for compliance, reporting, and audit requirements.
- Support and comply with the company’s Triple Goal Zero policy and associated HSSE practices.
- Assist with audit reporting and requirements as directed by the departmental responsible person.
- Support process, cost, and operational improvement initiatives across the team and wider organisation.
- Identify and elevate potential cost efficiencies within the department to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with the department to develop and implement effective commercial project strategies.
About You
A commercial degree would be advantageous but is not essential for this role. Candidates must have previous experience in a customer service or operational/sales support position, along with working knowledge of the SAP Sales and Distribution module or other comparable back-office transactional systems. A solid understanding of the B2B sales process is required, including awareness of the interdependencies across each stage of the customer journey, from order intake through to billing and ongoing support.
