How to prepare for a job interview at EESI

Know Your Gas Qualifications

Make sure you’re well-versed in your Commercial Gas Safe qualifications. Be ready to discuss how each certification, like CCN1 or CENWAT, has prepared you for the role. This shows you not only have the credentials but also understand their practical applications.

Showcase Your Experience

Prepare specific examples from your past three years of experience that highlight your skills in installation, maintenance, and repair work. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers, making it easier for the interviewer to see your capabilities in action.

Communicate Effectively

Since excellent communication is key, practice explaining technical concepts in simple terms. Think about how you would explain a complex gas system issue to a customer who may not have a technical background. This will demonstrate your customer-facing skills and ability to connect with clients.

Research the Company

Take some time to learn about the HVAC Division and its projects. Understanding the company’s values and recent developments can help you tailor your responses and show genuine interest. It also gives you a chance to ask insightful questions, which can set you apart from other candidates.
