We are currently looking for experienced Electrical Improvers to join our team on a manufacturing facility project in Widnes. Working alongside qualified electricians, you will assist with industrial electrical installation works within a busy production environment. This role is ideal for candidates with previous industrial installation experience who are confident installing containment systems and assisting with SWA cable installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting electricians with industrial electrical installations
- Installing containment systems including tray, trunking, conduit, and cable ladder
- Assisting with the installation, glanding, and termination of SWA cables
- Pulling, routing, and dressing power and control cables
- Installing electrical accessories and supporting equipment
- Working from electrical drawings and site instructions
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site housekeeping
- Following all health and safety procedures while working within a live manufacturing environment
Requirements
- Valid ECS Card and IPAF (essential)
- Previous experience as an Electrical Improver
- Industrial or manufacturing installation experience
- Experience installing electrical containment systems
- Familiarity with SWA cable installation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements on industrial sites
Desirable Experience
- Previous work within manufacturing or process facilities
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 40 hours per week
- Overtime opportunities may be available depending on project requirements
