Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager

THE ROLE

My client, an established firm of PQS, seeks a Quantity Surveyor to join them in SE London. You will work on a range of building projects, including residential, mixed-use, education and more. They are looking for an ambitious QS currently working for a PQS firm who is either working towards MRICS qualification or has recently been chartered.

My client offers good ongoing training and a very nice working environment and team.

COMPANY

My client is a firm of PQS with a broad portfolio of clients mainly in the private and public sectors. They provide cost management and project management services and operate from two UK offices.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Currently employed as a Quantity Surveyor for a UK firm of PQS
• Experience working across a range of building types
• Good experience of JCT contracts
• Two to six years (or more) of pre- and post-contract work
• Working towards chartered status or already chartered, able to run own projects as a project surveyor
• Stable work record
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong IT skills and client-facing abilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform pre- and post-contract duties on building projects
• Lead projects as a project surveyor
• Collaborate with a friendly team environment

SALARY & BENEFITS

Salary range: £40,000 to £55,000, plus pension contribution, RICS fees, ongoing training and other benefits.
