An exciting role for a Senior Project Manager who has experience of master planning, programming and project managing a number of construction projects for one client. The projects are in the higher education sector and include maintenance, construction, plant replacement, updating, etc. for lecture theatres, laboratories, catering facilities, roofing, plant replacement and more.

You will be based in my client offices in the City of London but you must be able to travel overseas as required for client and site visits.

My client is a firm of construction consultants providing mainly Project Management and Cost Management services. They have a selection of long standing clients and are extremely busy. They work on a good range of projects including construction projects for education, data centres, offices and more. They have both UK and overseas clients.

You will be a Senior Project Manager or Associate level Project Manager in the building construction industry. Ideally you may be chartered with the RICS, CIOB, MAPM or similar and have experience gained with another UK firm of construction consultants or have worked client-side running a roll-out of projects. You will also be Degree or MSc qualified in a building construction subject e.g. Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Project Management etc.

You must have a good understanding of all stages of the building process to be able to meet with clients and deal with their required projects from inception to completion. You will need to have experience of organising the master plan and programming to be able to run and organise a number of projects at a time. You will run the programme of works dealing with other consultants and contractors and the client.

You need to be willing to travel as the initial projects are based in the Caribbean although your office base will be in the City of London. You should have a stable work record with other firms of construction consultants or with an end user client. You must have excellent written and spoken English and be confident in dealing with people at all levels.

Salary will be very negotiable according to your level of experience plus pension contribution, life assurance, discretionary bonus, professional fees and other benefits plus excellent prospects for promotion.

Please email a full c.v. or give me, Denise Neville a call for an informal and confidential discussion.
