My client, an established large firm of multi-discipline construction consultants, seeks a Quantity Surveyor at either recently chartered level or a bit above.

Responsibilities

  • Work on large and small commercial projects as part of a team.
  • Supervise an Apprentice / Trainee QS.
  • Involved in all aspects of cost management, pre and post contract duties, overseeing cost management and budget control.
  • Deal directly with clients and stakeholders, preparing reports and maintaining project documentation, ensuring compliance with contracts etc.
  • Run own projects as Project Surveyor.

Company

Large PQS firm providing project management, cost management etc. with offices in the UK and abroad.

Candidate

  • Currently working for a UK firm of PQS.
  • MRICS qualified from recently chartered upwards.
  • BSci or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics or similar.
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken), stable work record, good IT skills, client facing.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and as part of a team on higher value projects.

Salary & Benefits

£50,000 to £60,000 (dependent on level) plus pension, CPD, discretionary bonus, RICS fees and other benefits and prospect for rapid promotion.
