Early Years / EYFS | Orthodox Jewish Nursery — Hackney, London. Term Time Only | Permanent. We are a warm, well-established Orthodox Jewish nursery in Hackney seeking an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of our setting during term time. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Years professional looking for a leadership role with a healthy work-life balance.
Key Duties
- Support the Nursery Manager in daily operations
- Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality EYFS practice
- Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and Ofsted compliance
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (or train towards this)
- Build positive relationships with parents
- Take charge in the Manager's absence
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or above (essential)
- Experience as a Deputy, Room Leader, or similar senior role
- Strong EYFS and safeguarding knowledge
- Confident team leader, organised and reliable
- Respect for an Orthodox Jewish nursery environment
- Knowledge of Jewish festivals, customs, and dietary requirements is desirable
