Role: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Supervisor to join our Brownfield Modifications team in Great Yarmouth.
This role plays a key part in the planning and delivery of brownfield modification projects, supporting both onshore and offshore construction activities.
Working closely with the Brownfield Modifications Manager and Project Engineers, you will provide construction expertise from the early planning stages through to project execution, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule and within budget.
The role combines office-based planning with regular site and offshore visits, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical preparation and hands‑on project supervision.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Construction Support: Carrying out constructability reviews and identifying practical engineering solutions.
- Preparing detailed construction workpacks, procedures and execution plans.
- Estimating labour requirements and planning onshore and offshore construction activities.
- Supporting Project Managers and Engineers with detailed project planning and reporting.
- Conducting offshore and onshore surveys to support project delivery.
- Construction Supervision: Supervising and coordinating construction activities on site and offshore.
- Managing construction personnel and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Chairing and attending meetings with site supervision, subcontractors and client representatives.
- Monitoring project progress and reporting against agreed schedules and budgets.
- Supporting the resolution of technical queries, design changes and project variations.
- Working within Management of Change (Mo C) processes.
- Promoting a strong SHEQ culture: preparing risk assessments, participating in safety workshops, conducting safety audits and ensuring compliance with company procedures, Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations and relevant industry standards.
- Supporting the competence and safe performance of contractors and third-party suppliers.
Qualifications
- HNC, recognised apprenticeship or equivalent formal engineering qualification.
- Previous experience supervising construction activities within the energy, oil & gas or industrial sectors.
- Experience planning and coordinating construction activities, including workpack preparation.
- Good understanding of construction methodologies and constructability reviews.
- Experience working with Client Representatives and multidiscipline project teams.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations and safe systems of work.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and report‑writing skills.
- Good commercial awareness.
- Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel onshore and offshore when required.
- Offshore Survival and relevant qualifications to work offshore as required.
