Role Description
This full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician role is based in Delph.
The technician will perform routine and reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and related HVAC systems to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation.
Daily responsibilities include attending service calls, identifying faults, completing preventive maintenance tasks, replacing or repairing components, and documenting all work carried out.
The role involves working across a variety of customer sites, communicating clearly with clients and the internal team, and ensuring minimal downtime for building services.
The technician will also support energy-efficient upgrades, follow safety procedures, and adhere to all relevant regulations and company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Maintenance & Repair and Preventive Maintenance skills for commercial HVAC, heating, and related building services.
- Proven Troubleshooting abilities for diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in heating and air conditioning equipment.
- Commitment to Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and maintain professional relationships on-site.
- Relevant EPA or equivalent environmental and refrigerant handling certifications, with knowledge of applicable regulations and safe working practices.
- Recognized HVAC or M&E qualification (e. g., NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent) and experience working with commercial systems.
- Gas Safe, F-Gas, or similar accreditation, or willingness to work toward these where required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and BMS interfaces, and to complete accurate service reports.
- Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel to customer sites, with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
- Strong awareness of health and safety, including risk assessments, safe isolation procedures, and adherence to company policies.
