We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Advisor to support the growth of our UK SME customer base. This role is responsible for delivering revenue, sales volume, and quality targets through a combination of new customer acquisition, upselling, and retention activities.
Sales opportunities will be generated through a mix of:
- Delivering outbound sales activity to acquire new SME customers, including dialler campaigns and targeted outreach.
- Handling end-to-end sales across multiple product areas, identifying cross-sell opportunities to meet customer needs.
- Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships, engaging key stakeholders and decision-makers through strong communication and influencing skills.
- Applying BT sales methodologies and processes, including effective questioning and account mapping to grow and retain business.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in CRM and sales systems, ensuring data quality and GDPR compliance.
- Identifying and progressing new business opportunities as well as growth within existing SME accounts.
Thrive in a target-driven, customer-facing sales environment, achieving KPIs such as:
- Sales targets and revenue growth.
- Proficient in using IT systems, CRM platforms, and digital tools (e.g. databases, email, Microsoft Teams/unified communications tools).
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to understand customer needs, set expectations, and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Adaptable and eager to learn, open to feedback and able to follow structured processes and training guidance.
- Previous experience in a sales, customer service, or contact centre environment.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs, with a strong results-driven mindset.
- Experience working in a target-driven sales environment, with the ability to prioritise workload to maximise performance.
- Background in sales, telesales, or business development (advantageous but not essential).
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and driven to succeed, with a willingness to learn and develop in a sales career.
