This role is perfect for someone who thrives on turning ideas into impactful customer experiences, balancing aesthetics with functionality, and collaborating across teams to deliver exceptional retail spaces.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop innovative store designs that align with brand identity, business objectives, and enhance customer experience.
  • Create compelling design presentations using 3D renders, fly-throughs, and mood boards for stakeholder approval.
  • Plan store layouts for new openings, refurbishments, and minor works.
  • Produce design packs and technical drawings for landlord approvals, planning submissions, and construction.
  • Design and develop fixtures and fittings for new products and categories, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and cost.
  • Maintain accurate records of store layouts, design standards, and project documentation in the central database.
  • Monitor retail trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies; share insights and best practices with the team.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Property, Operations, Marketing) and external partners (manufacturers, contractors) to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and reflect design intent.
  • Manage relationships with landlords and suppliers to ensure timely approvals and quality execution.

What Skills You’ll Need:

  • Strong 3D visualization skills and proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Twinmotion, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Knowledge of building regulations, planning processes, and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for retail trends, customer experience, and sustainable design.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to maintain documentation and records and manage database of drawings.

What Experience/Qualifications You’ll Need:

  • A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Proven Retail store design experience – 3-5 years.
  • Experience of working with 3rd party manufacturers and fit out contractors to deliver projects on site.
  • Experience of working on retail store roll-out programs.
