The Scope: The Product Manager, Content Partner and Portfolio leads the strategy, development and end‑to‑end delivery of BT Consumer's TV content integrations, ensuring seamless experiences across complex technical systems and partnerships with major global content providers. They are accountable for the roadmap, driving commercial and customer outcomes whilst navigating a highly matrixed engineering environment to deliver scalable, high‑quality propositions. This role blends strategic thinking with deep technical delivery, shaping how EE brings new content, bundles and platform capabilities to market.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing the roadmap and delivery of BT Consumer's TV integrations and propositions, leading complex workstreams across engineering, operations and third‑party partners to ensure seamless provisioning, billing and customer experiences.
- Supporting the development of the long‑term product vision and strategy, contributing customer, commercial and technology insight, and translate that direction into clear priorities, business cases and an actionable plan.
- Owning day‑to‑day strategic product decisions, including prioritisation, trade‑offs and scope definition, and represent the product across governance forums by simplifying technical challenges and driving clarity.
- Working collaboratively across BT Consumer and the wider business to manage backlog delivery, align stakeholders, ensure compliance and support wider transformation initiatives such as portfolio simplification and migration away from legacy systems.
- Championing the customer experience, ensuring journeys, documentation and product performance are continually improved and aligned to the broader vision.
- Owning commercial and partner execution, including financial planning, performance tracking and relationship management with external content partners, while supporting the identification of new opportunities to strengthen the TV portfolio and integration approach.
Skills And Experience Needed:
- Significant product management experience (5+ years) with a strong record of delivering customer and commercial outcomes, managing multiple initiatives and making clear, data‑driven decisions in high‑pressure environments.
- Proven ability to lead in a complex matrix organisation, coordinating fragmented delivery across numerous engineering teams, simplifying highly technical problems and driving clarity without direct ownership of squads.
- Strong stakeholder and partner management skills, including negotiating with challenging external content partners, influencing senior stakeholders and representing product decisions across forums and committees.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, develop business cases, shape product roadmaps and manage CAPEX/OPEX while balancing customer, commercial and technical considerations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage across engineering, commercial, operations, marketing and legal teams, and the ability to advocate for the customer in technical and commercial discussions.
- Passion for consumer technology, TV/streaming and digital products, with experience in telecoms, TV, or third‑party platform/marketplace integrations considered beneficial but not essential.
