We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Advisor to support the growth of our UK SME customer base. This role is responsible for delivering defined revenue, sales volume, and quality targets through the acquisition, upselling, and retention of UK SME customers. You will generate sales opportunities through a combination of outbound dialler activity, inbound customer calls, and targeted outbound campaigns, in line with business requirements.

You will engage with customers across multiple channels, providing a seamless and professional sales and customer experience, whilst responding to enquiries in an efficient, effective, and customer-focused manner. The role requires strong adherence to established sales processes, procedures, and compliance standards to ensure a consistent and high-quality service.

Operating in a target-driven sales environment, you will play a key role in contributing to overall business performance, ensuring customer needs are understood and solutions are delivered that drive both customer satisfaction and commercial outcomes.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage a defined portfolio of SME customers (10–100 employees), typically single-site businesses with straightforward requirements.
  • Build strong knowledge of BT & EE products and services, including mobile, connectivity, and IP voice, to support customer acquisition, retention, and upselling.
  • Drive outbound sales activity to both grow existing accounts and acquire new SME customers, using dialler campaigns and targeted outreach.
  • Deliver end-to-end sales across multiple product areas, identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities to meet customer needs.
  • Develop and maintain long-term, profitable customer relationships, engaging key stakeholders and influencing decision-makers.
  • Apply BT sales methodologies and account management techniques (e.g. effective questioning, account mapping) to retain and grow business.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM and sales systems, ensuring strong data quality and GDPR compliance.
  • Identify and progress both new business opportunities and growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Influence customer decision-makers to drive timely, commercially beneficial outcomes.
  • Thrive in a target-driven, customer-facing sales environment, achieving KPIs such as sales revenue and product volume targets, customer contact activity, pipeline management and opportunity progression, share of wallet (SOV) and revenue growth.

What you'll need to succeed:

Essential:

  • Strong communication skills, confident in both verbal and written communication, with the ability to listen, influence, and build effective relationships.
  • Comfortable using IT systems, CRM platforms, and digital tools (e.g. databases, email, Microsoft Teams / unified communications tools).
  • Proven customer service skills, with the ability to understand customer needs, manage expectations, and deliver appropriate solutions.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn, open to feedback and able to follow structured processes and training guidance.
  • Experience working in a sales, contact centre, or customer-facing environment.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs, with a strong results-driven mindset.
  • Experience in a target-driven sales environment, with the ability to prioritise workload and maximise performance outcomes.
  • Previous experience in sales, telesales, or business development (beneficial but not essential).
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and self-driven, with a strong willingness to learn and grow within a sales career.
