Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager role based in London. The Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including supervising team members, coordinating schedules, and ensuring excellent customer service on the shop floor. Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring sales performance
  • Supporting staff training and coaching
  • Helping to implement company initiatives and promotions
  • Managing stock levels
  • Maintaining store standards
  • Resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in retail, hospitality, or customer-facing environments, ideally in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to handle complex or escalated customer queries calmly and effectively
  • Basic understanding of sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics, with the ability to support a team in meeting and exceeding goals
  • Effective people-management abilities, including coaching, feedback, and day-to-day team coordination
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in store presentation and compliance with company procedures
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interacting with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Comfort with technology, mobile devices, and digital tools, with an interest in staying up to date on new products and services
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in line with store trading patterns
  • Previous experience in telecoms or consumer electronics retail is an advantage but not required
  • Relevant education or training in business, retail management, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory with strong experience
