To meet our growing order book, we are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Services Manager (MEP) with a proven track in the MEP industry, ideally with an MEP Contracting background or could already be a Technical Services Manager with a Main Contractor. The majority of our projects are within reach of Mayfair, London and include the full range of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Services, plus AV/IT, Security/CCTV and Lighting Control.
With busy projects, the main duties of the Senior Technical Services Manager (MEP) would include:
- Provide MEP Technical Services support across all aspects of the project from Pre-tender through to Testing, Commissioning, Demonstrations, Handover and Practical Completion.
- Lead by example and take full ownership of the MEP Technical Services packages whilst reporting to the Project/Contracts Manager (PM/CM), who has overall responsibility for the project.
- Actively input to MEP Project Programmes (Design, Pre-construction, Drawing Production, Procurement, Installation, Testing & Commissioning, Handover and Practical Completion.
- Identify commercial and contractual risks associated with MEP challenges and changes.
- Actively participate in the overall successful delivery of the project, providing solutions to MEP problems and clearly demonstrating a can-do approach to the PM/CM
- Maintain relationships with our MEP supply chain including sub-contractors and suppliers – regularly reviewing their performance on site and action, as necessary.
- Support with managing the client relationship and expectations with the PM/CM from start to finish.
- Chair and minute MEP meetings externally with the client team.
- Ensure all site RAMS are being adhered to by the MEP Sub-contractors and they are working in a safe manner.
- Assist the PM/CM to manage the construction programme throughout the life cycle of the project including regular progress updates/droplines – particularly all MEP aspects of the project.
- Monitor MEP site activities to ensure maximum efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor all MEP issues and any non-conformances raised by the site management team.
- Keep stakeholders up to speed with any MEP project issues.
- Attend internal meetings with all departments as necessary and ensure a collaborative approach is maintained by all teams.
- Managing MEP sub-contractor works on site ensuring works are safely completed in line with the programme and to the required high quality that EES expects,
- Chair on site MEP progress and coordination meetings with sub-contractors and record any relevant actions.
- Monitor and report on MEP financials on the project in partnership with the lead QS.
- Ensure Company Procedures, 14001 Environmental, 9001 Quality and Statutory H&S Regulations are adhered to.
- Timely input to the Testing & Commissioning programme noting in particular any challenging interfaces between systems including AV, Lighting Control, BMS, Security, CCTV and the like.
