As a Business Partnering and Commercial Finance Manager, you will provide financial business partnering support to senior Consumer leaders, manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting of significant OPEX across multiple functions, consolidate financial reporting, and lead key programmes within the Consumer division. You will build strong relationships with directors and operational teams to ensure financial alignment with organisational strategy.
Responsibilities
- Act as Finance Business Partner to the Consumer CFO, People & Culture Director, General Counsel Director, and Strategy Director, providing strategic financial guidance and support.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly management reporting of OPEX across Finance & Supply Chain, People & Culture, General Counsel and Strategy functions.
- Consolidate reporting, forecasting and budgeting for Consumer SG&A (£1.5bn Opex, £0.8bn TLC and ~17,000 TLR), ensuring accuracy and alignment across all areas.
- Deliver clear and concise P&L updates to directors, highlighting key financial drivers, risks and recommended actions with appropriate context and insight.
- Support operational teams in managing spend in line with MTP and assist with purchase order processes and procurement activities.
- Lead and drive key TLC and TLR programmes across Consumer, ensuring effective implementation and value delivery.
- Review and sign-off on TLR roles for recruitment, ensuring business justification, appropriate business case and alignment with financial plans.
- Ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with local legislative requirements and BT governance standards, safeguarding the organisation's integrity.
- Collaborate with offshore teams to ensure accuracy of month-end financial reporting and consolidated figures.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Proven experience in finance business partnering to senior leaders.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting across complex organisations.

- Strong business evaluation and financial analysis skills with ability to identify root causes and solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills—translating complex financial information into clear, concise messaging for both financial and non-financial audiences.
